Vintage
I love Vintage clothing...Ask anyone who went to high school with me...I seriously thought that I was born to party in the 70s! Like for sure, I would have been partying at Studio 54 every night only to die tragically on the dance floor after a major dance-off to my theme song "I will Survive"!
anyway, enough of my fake reminiscing...back to Vintage...A really good place to get good vintage tees and furs (fuck PETA) is right on the corner of Prince and Mercer. There is a really cool dude named Patrick who not only sells his awesome vintage pieces, but he actually embodies the spirit of the 60s! I mean he rolls around in this 60s Scooby Doo-like van (hand painted and designed of course!)
I took some pics of his shit. One word: dizzope! and not the bad dope I took that had me challenging biatches to a dance-off which induced a heart attack and is the reason I died in the 70s on Studio 54s floor!
Note: if you want to buy more of his pieces while not freezing your ass off on the street, you can get his pieces at Nikki Laura.

Reebok Party

People ask what's the best thing about living in New York City. That answer is simple:
OPEN BAR PARTIES! Celeb sightings (while pretending to be too cool to care)
After work last Thursday, I planned going straight home when I received a BBM from Stezza. She wanted to know if I wanted to go to this Reebok party with her and The Designer. I asked the one question that mattered: FREE DRINKS?
"Yes", "Oh and at the last party, there was free sushi". enough said for me!
The party was good mainly because of the open bar and dinner (i mean passed hor deurves) and a sneak peak at the last collection of Reeboks. The sneakers sucked and there was only 1 celebrity sighting...Taylor Momsen, aka Jenny Humphrey from Gossip Girls
... but the drinks rocked, and the catering from La Esquina was on point!
Ashley Dupree on 20/20

Maybe it's the fact that it's cold outside and I have consumed a bottle of wine home alone on a Friday. Or maybe it's the fact that I just believe anything that pretty people say...but after watching tonight's 20/20 episode on Ashlee Dupree...I kinda like her.
She's pretty decent looking (aside from that chin). AND she didn't let a little things stop her, such as dating a married man who left her to pay their $3600 a month rent in Chelsea, no education or no real ambition to get a real job.
But you see, she did what any respectable woman would do...use her box as currency!
I know she is so called responsible for bringing down Governor Spitzer (insert joke here said in high pitched-Chris Tucker voice: bringing his pants down dawg!) but I mean the girl had a job to do...a blowjob that is!
And any girl who could do Governor Spitzer's fugly-alien looking ass deserves the $4000 that he paid her for the night! Now, I'm not advocating prostitution...but in her words, "She was there for a purpose". And that purpose was: easy MONEY and lots of it!
Maybe more Americans should take initiative like her, and then we wouldn't be in such a recession! America would once again, be on top!
Rumor Control

1. Which power hitting third baseman has actually been dating the Queen of Pop for over a year? The shit may really hit the fan once this Material Girl finds out that he is also seeing someone else who is Almost Famous!
2. Which hard-partying oil heir was recently overheard saying at his afterhours party, "It sucks that it takes until 6AM for me to get a little fucked-up."

3. Which boyfriend/"hanger on" of a reality show personality recently split with his love? But don't feel bad for him, he is reportly in talks for his own reality show.

The Skinny Girl's Margarita

After watching last night's episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, and seeing Bethenny out last night at Tenjune...I am ready for the NY episodes to come back. (no offense to NeNe, because she has my heart as well! haha) I was so obsessed with her fast-talking and keeping it "real" attitude...she MADE the show!
Since all the girls were soo skinny last night, I need to start drinking a new drink and I'm all for "The Skinny Girl's Margarita" that Bethenny has made famous.
Here is the recipe:
The Skinny Girls Margarita (On the Rocks)
* 2 oz of clear Tequila (100% agave, Patron Silver)* (count 1, 2 while you pour, no need for measuring)
* 2 oz of clear Tequila (100% agave, Patron Silver)* (count 1, 2 while you pour, no need for measuring)
* A splash of fresh lime juice
* A splash of Cointreau, Grand Marnier or Triple Sec
Combine all ingredients over a glass of ice
Garnish with a lime wedge and salt (or sugar) if you’d like.

Maino is hot
and even though half of the crowd last night at Tenjune didn't know who he was, I was in heaven! Maybe it's because he reminds me of the really hot guy in Juice that Tupac's character shot. Raheem! that was his name! I mean although I was in the 7th grade when the movie came out, I knew for a fact that Raheem's baby's mama was not cute enough to be with him!
Yes, I was "fast" when I was young....AND!
Tenjune 2nd Year Anniversary
was so much fun tonight. Actually I was dreading going out tonight. I kept calling P-Bibby to see if she really wanted to go out. 5 bbms later, going back and forth, I decided to get my old ass of the couch and make it to where the "young cool kids are partying".
I must say when I got in, I was immediately turned off! I mean models everywhere, me getting stepped on and shoved and spilled on...and I hadn't even made it to the bar yet for a damn drink. (But everyone was having a good time and the crowd was gorgeous, so it was fine!...haha)
whatever.
eventually I do make it to my friend's ("the promoter") table and sit. Then all the really good performances started. The Retro Kids, O'neal McNight, Maino, Ice-T (and the lovely Coco), Ron Browz (pop-champagne guy). All I have to say is...when Ice-T sang "Colors" "6in the morning", I really thought that I was gonna lose it and join a gang! I LOVE old-school rap!
tonight was: AWESOME
Update: Yes, that is Bethenny Frankel from Real Housewives of New York! She was wasted!
protesto in the garmento
So walking to the Designer's office to do "whatever it is that I do there/hang out" and I hear all this commotion.
I mean I blast my iPod and I could hear chanting through listening to some old school Jay-Z. Being the nosy person I am, I take my earphones off and go to where all the racket is.
Basically there were a bunch of Chinese "garmentos" who were protesting against their manufacturer, Liberty Apparel. They claim that they have labored over 80 hours a week for less than $3/hr in the Chinatown factories. Even claiming they went months without any pay at all!
This is really fucked up, I think they should all take a lesson from that ho at 1OAK and slap Liberty Apparel in the back of the head with a purse!

Lean back bitches!

So P-Bibby, "The little one", went out last night with "The Designer" to 1OAK. Don't ask how they even got connected...haha...I couldn't go out with her because I already had plans (MY BIRTHDAY DINNER).
So they put their things down behind the table and start having a good time. Fast-forward to the end of the night, the little one goes to get their things. She politely asks the girl who is sitting next to her things could she move so she could get her stuff. And the girl says, "NO!"
Ok. So had I been there the girl would have had a black eye. Score one for the dumb bitch!
Then the "little one" asks the guy next to her could he move so that she could get her things...And he says NO! I would have been arrested at this point for full on assaulting someone in a club!
So the designer goes around and gets their stuff. P-Bibby then turns to the girl and calls her a bitch and turns to walk off...
Then in the most awesome/crazy/funniest move ever...the girl slaps P-Bibby's head with her purse! haha! The guy gets involved screaming as well at her, then in all things that are crazy, Fat Joe gets them all kicked out because their table was next to his and it was causing too much of a scene!

Stezza, Don't even!

So to update you Stezza, my bestie, has had a bit of "not so good days" to say the least. She hasn't been herself lately and to make herself feel better, she went out and attempted to have a good time. Fast-forwarding the story, the crazy ho broke her wrist last Saturday.
She doesn't know how...all she knows is 1. she was wasted Saturday 2. she fell....and 3. her wrist was FAT on Sunday!
So, she went to the doctor and they told her it was broken. Now, I know I should really feel sorry for her, but this really isn't fair because my birthday is being celebrated tomorrow and I'm gonna need her not to be rocking a cast! Everyone is going to want to sign her cast and that ho is gonna be stealin my thunder on MY DAY! Like everyone is going to be like, "Oh, let's make sure Stezza is OK." "Watch out for Stezza." "Give Stezza the first piece of birthday cake"....MY ASS! If she so much gives me a side-eye, I'm going to karate chop that other wrist!

Kate Moss

So yesterday, the other crazy model that we love, Kate Moss launched her collection for TopShop in Hong Kong yesterday. And apparently it was crazy to say the least... the sales staff were so busy that even company executives were drafted as reinforcements, according to Vogue.
All of that and that lazy ho didn't even bother to get outta bed to show for the launch!

wait biatches...

So Naomi (the real supermodel, not my alter-ego) is still acting like the crazy biatch she is...
According to the SFGate.com:
"The catwalk beauty arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport on an American Airlines flight on Tuesday morning and was then escorted to the front of the line to have her passport checked. But her fellow air passengers were not amused by her preferential treatment and booed Campbell as she passed them to get to the head of the line."
I mean it must suck for those other passengers who were waiting in line, but I mean what's the point of being a notoriously crazy and equally as gorgeous supermodel biatch who dates a billionaire, if you can't make other people feel like crap?

I'm excited BUT....
Ok I'm super excited about Obama winning, but really we need to discuss one major important topic of his future Presidency:
MICHELLE OBAMA'S wardrobe!
What the eff was she wearing? Look if she is going to be First Lady, she needs to step her game up! I love me some Michey, but she has to do better than that dress she had on. I know she really thought she was "doing it" in the fresh off the runway, spring black and red Narcisco Rodriguez...But, WHY ON EARTH would she put a black cardigan over it?!!!
If we have learned anything from the Clinton administration, our First Lady needs to constantly be "on point" when there is a hottie in office. Otherwise that fine-ass man may be tempted to look elsewhere!
Michey...if you need help...let me know and we can find you a stylist! Rachel Zoe, please call Michey at the White House ASAP!

Bringing "when" back

So last night, "Hun-ay", Stezza and I were eating and drinking at that awful place (so awful that I want to go back tonight to eat again!)...haha...oh wait what was I saying? oh yeah, so we were drinking sake like maniacs and as I go to refill "Hun-ay's" sake she says the best thing ever:
"WHEN"!
Remember that? Like you tell someone to say "when", when you want them to stop. I am so heart-ing that right now. Have to bring it back!
"Say when!"

I'm done and I'm still going

So after the sale, I'm exhausted....so exhausted...that Stezza and "Hun-ay" (I'll tell you more about "Hun-ay" later) make me go out to eat after. So you know me, I need good food and Stezza is swearing about this place, but i'm still skeptical of her palate...I agree because she says its cheap (we are in a recession you know-Barack, you need to help CHANGE these cheap mofos attitutes...they need to SHOP).
We walk into this sushi bar on the Lower East Side called Cube 63. I'm pissed because I don't want to be there because I'm sure Stezza is taking me to some "aight" place. The effing hostess says, "How many are you (dining)?"...Then she recants and says, "Umm, do you have reservations?"....I could have taken all 5 of my bags (yes, I am a bag lady...it happens when you live in NYC and you need to carry 2 pairs of shoes and a flat iron around because you don't know if you will get too drunk that you may just have to go out...and heaven forbid you go out looking like the loser you did at work in the morning!) and karate kicked her ass! The place had 4 people in it! ugh!
whatever, we sit down because "Hun-ay" was starved...I was pissed and Stezza was around the corner buying sake. Did I mention it was BYOB? I started out by saying I was only ordering 1 sushi roll because I didn't know how the food was going to be...
2 appetizers, 7 rolls, and a bottle of sake, we chat up the couple sitting next to us. They were super cute. The guy, Richard was hilarious! He totally tried me on my knowledge of kicks...I mean, does he EVEN KNOW that I only wore sneakers everyday throughout law school?!!! Whatever, I promised to take him on my infamous sneaker tour throughout the LES...I love NOTHING MORE than sneaker stores with the hot guys who are too cool to even help you unless you know them or their friends personally! So I'm super excited!

History Biatches! 338-156

I think I can say definitively that a KNOCKOUT has been made (11:00pm EST). America has chosen the 1st Black President of the United States of America! (yes, I said Black because that's the term I'm most comfortable with...I don't know many African Americans...my momma and my momma's mama and their mama have all been from here)
I cannot believe we whooped McCain's ass! I mean oBAMA basically held McCain's neck in the ground until he said "Mercy"....this is amazing!
Update: I'm watching the speech now...just a couple of things that are getting me pissed:
- super jealous that the kids get a new puppy as soon as they move into the White House! I hope they choose right and get an English bulldog.
- Jessie Jackson-why is his "I'mma cut Obama's nuts off" ass crying and acting as if he is really happy...he needs to get a grip!
Election Day

Election day is here and I have been so excited about today that I almost forgot to vote! Haha...I woke up this morning at Stezza's apt...after yet another night of drinking wine and talking shiz. I left her place and just went straight to the poll.
Now my polling place here in the Lower East/East Village is just plain ghetto. I mean SERIOUSLY between the Ricans speaking Spanglish, the old Black ladies saying "It's gonna be some shit if Barack doesn't win" while looking to see if you are registered, and the young hipster parents behind me in line with their 2 year old kid telling them "how important today is" and they only care about eating their crayons...I almost got out of line! But you gotta do what you gotta do! I only had to wait in line for about 10 minutes and (TA-DA!) Barack'd my vote!
Surprisingly, I actually did get sentimental (yes, I know being "Ice-Ice Baby" means that you are not allowed to get emotional, but I couldn't help it!). It's just that I'm really excited about this election and hopefully our country gets out of this recession-depression and then we will all make the dough and ball out of control, not caring that Barack is planning on spreading the wealth because we actually HAVE IT!
Rock the vote dudes!

Boss

Here at "The Store" and our friend just dropped off "my one true love" for me to dogsit. He is excited because his club, The Eldridge just got a mention in PageSix.com....so He is off to do some work over there and me and LaLuna get to play with our baby!!!
His name is Boss, he is an English bulldog and possibly the craziest, cutest dog on earth!
I Heart you boss...
Live Your Life

After a party-filled week last week...(my special day, Fundraiser at "The Store", Stezza's bday, Halloween, and a wedding in Conneticut)...I finally arrive back into the city yesterday evening ready to relax and enjoy my Sunday. I get a phone call from my "Care", she just got off the plane from Columbia and was informed of horrible news...a friend of ours allegedly committed suicide.
From MTV.com:
"Atlanta police confirmed on Sunday that Def Jam Executive Vice President Shakir Stewart died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The 34-year-old was found in a bathroom in his Atlanta-area home on Saturday and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Stewart is credited with helping to put the Atlanta music scene on the map through his party promotions firm and the Noontime Entertainment production company that helped bring producer Jazze Pha to the front. He rose quickly during a four-year stint at Def Jam, capped off by his ascension to the top spot earlier this year, after Jay-Z's departure from the label in December. Stewart was instrumental in signing such current Def Jam stars as Young Jeezy and Rick Ross.
One of Stewart's long time friends, Christopher Hicks, said he last spoke to Stewart about a week ago. "Whatever happened over the past 24 hours is not a testament to who we all know," Hicks told the Journal-Constitution on Sunday. "He was a one-of-a-kind individual. If you looked on his Blackberry [stamp] it said, 'One of one.' ... I mean, Shakir is the kind of guy who would get dressed up for a party none of us were invited to. ... He had no doubt he was getting in. He was a 'Where there's a will, there's a way' kind of guy. Always."
He was a handsome, articulate, promising young man that seemed to have it all. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. I never got the chance to meet him in person, but I only heard wonderful things about him from my friend.
You will be missed Shakir Stewart!

Wedding Table

I'm drunk, still hungover from Halloween, Stezza's bday, and God knows what else...The wedding tonight that I attended was "off the hook"...but me and the "Paki" are already home because we can't even deal...
our table was hilarious...Table 13, just like the good luck that I always bring everywhere. Major topic of conversation: The Talented RICKY BOBBY!
TO BE CONTINUED....post more when I'm not blogging in the lobby of the LaQuinta New Haven, Conneticut! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
